A CONTINUOUSLY EVOLVING REALITY

1950s

The company’s history started in a very adventurous way, with Nelusco Morri’s grandfather (founder of Nuovareda) who was a blacksmith in Cattolica working in a small workshop with some machines and because his father had become tired of factory life he decided to sell the machines to a company called Reda and he then embarked as an engineer officer on ships. Subsequently, his 27 year old son ended up working for the very company to which his father had sold his grandfather’s machines.

A few years later the owners of the Reda company decided to sell the company to some of their employees, including Nelusco Morri: this was in 1979, the year in which Nuovareda snc was founded.

«The new company initially continued by following in the previous company’s footsteps, operating for a local company that built agricultural machinery, a sector in which it held an important amount of shares in the national market. Encouraged by this company, we developed and marketed an agricultural motorbike called “Tigre” which had the characteristics, distinctly innovative for those years as it had a central frame joint which allowed a perfect four wheel grip on any type of surface, a feature that made this model unique (at that time). We stopped making this product in 1982 having produced about 30 models per year: the commercial activity did not suit our characteristics and perhaps also for this reason we had problems collecting payments. “At that time I didn’t have the support of my daughters who certainly would have been much more proactive».

2000S

Nuovareda continues to operate as a carpentry shop creating products or simply subsets for third parties, and is a sheet metal processing center for third parties.

The eldest daughter Monica joined the company in 1997 as a sheet metal worker.

The step towards the laser was taken in 2001, before this the company relied on an external plant but there were always some delivery problems. That year Nuovareda experienced an increase in their orders and these orders mostly had a fairly rigorous delivery deadlines. During this same period they also decided to purchase a ByStar 3015 unit which allowed them consequently to cut tubular elements. This type of processing had also previously been subcontracted externally, causing qualitative issues perhaps linked to the fact that the tubes were predominantly oval section.

In 2002 the second daughter joined the company and despite having a teacher’s diploma, she initially accepted to work at the folding machine so as to learn about factory life. This is because her father believes that it is dutiful for anyone who will eventually take over and manage the factory to know firsthand what it’s like to work on the machines, as well as all the related tasks and problems the machines may have.
Even the third daughter Chiara, who joined the company in 2004 after getting her high school accounting diploma, before she was allowed to manage the company’s administration (the sector she still works in today) she also was made to complete her apprenticeship in the workshop.

In recent years Nuovareda has felt the need to improve its structure even more thanks to the numerous jobs and processes it has been developing. As a result of new professional figures and new employees joining the company, this has made it necessary to build a new, larger and more comfortable factory where new machinery can increase processing and services.

The new GP90 management system also contributed in optimizing both orders and production by reducing the error margin to a minimum.

TODAY

Nuovareda today is a well-structured family run company that pays a lot of attention to the continuous changes in the market. These new skills have in fact brought innovation and enthusiasm which has helped develop important ad hoc and made to measure projects.

Collaboration with important architects, designers, interior designers and artists have highlighted how Nuovareda can be an ideal partner for those who need to develop indoors and outdoors furnishing proposals and projects, installations and artistic jobs.
